I had been a long time customer of - wireless. In - of - I moved to - and found there was not - -. I contacted - and was let out of my contract due to lack of service. I was sent an envelope, mailed my phone back to them, and paid my final bill. Several months later, I was charged for the phone. I contacted - and explained to them that I returned the phone. Several months after that I began being harassed by a collection agency ( I no longer have the name. ) In -, I filed a complaint with the -. I never received a response from - but the collection dropped off of my credit report. However, it now appears that a new collection agency or agencies are attempting to collect this same false debt. These collection agencies are Source Receivables -, through -, and - - - through - - of these collection agencies are located -. However, one has a physical address while the other lists a PO BO- - They have different phone numbers. These collection agencies claim that the account was opened in - of - and became late in - of -. However, the exact dates differ between - These incorrect dates are a fraudulent attempt to draw out the period of time that a collection can appear on my credit. There are numerous illegal issues here and they appear to apply to several companies. First, I do not owe - any money. - is at fault for falsely claiming that I do but also for falsely extending my contract by dropping my - - - discount and then changing the start date of my contract from the time I renewed the contract to the time I asked for them to reinstate the discount, a matter of several months. Source Receivables - and - - - are attempting to collect a debt that I do not owe and in doing so have tried to strong arm me by using unfair business practices.
