We opened a Care Credit account when I had some major dental work done about 18 months ago. We have been making the payments every month - three weeks early. We get the statement online on the - of the month and the payment is made by the - and due on the -. We do not receive paper statements nor have I ever received an actual card. When the online statement comes up on the screen, there are only - options - pay minimum amount or pay amount in full. The minimum payment is filled in for us and there is no option to type another amount. At this point I was fairly certain most had been paid off. On the contrary - I am OVER my credit limit. I found this out today when I inquired about tacking on some extra onto the " card '' because my daughter needs her wisdom teeth taken out. After an hour of going round and round with them with their canned statements and them helping us navigate to a part of the site they said we should have been looking or just found on our own to see a myriad of bogus late charges that make no sense, we discontinued our conversation. So the only option with them is pay the minimum which automatically comes with late fees that increase your balance OR pay in full. They confirmed with us that that is their practice. So I guess the $220.00 - they had to pay out for Deceptive Marketing and the - - they paid in Care Credit Refunds just 18 months ago when they were " formerly known as GE Capital '' did not teach them a lesson. And the building similar complaints and even complaints now as Synchrony Bank are not deterring them from monster deception.
