Amex Credit Card Complaint

Billing disputes

Amex Credit card department,

Billing disputes Pennsylvania

American Express continues to allow monthly recurring charges on my account. I 've called and complained on numerous occasions and I 'm told it will be investigated. Shortly thereafter the charge returns. Today we spoke to an American Express Fraud Representative and was told that although the original credit card that was used to open the account is no longer valid they continue to allow monthly transactions because it 's recurring and we gave them permission to do so in 2003. Please keep in mind that I 'm being charged on an old credit card number and the merchant does not have the exportation date, account number or security code. I 'm paying $39.00 a month and this has been going on for years. When I call the company in question, the call gets disconnected or I 'm hung up on. The last time I called they wanted me to send them a copy of my driver 's license. There is no way I 'm doing that. I 'd really be in trouble.
