I borrowed $2000.00 and some cents from Republic Finance , Inc. on -/-/- and they added charges to this account of $4900.00. So I received another check totaling $2000.00 and paid off the $2000.00 and some cents on -/-/-. This account was for two years and I paid the account off in one year. I made a payment in - - for on -/-/- with the late charges. I made payments on -/-/-, -/-/- and -/-/- and these payment were not on record for $130.00 which was the late charges also. The payments were for $120.00. The company stated that I borrowed $2100.00 which was incorrect. I paid this account off on - -, - but this was not a settlement. This account was not in collections. I was never told this. I informed them that I was paying this account off early and they put me in collections. I have a zero balance. If they told me at the time in paying off this account, this was a settlement, then I would not have done it. In the credit bureau they are showing - for collection from - to -. I paid this account off a year earlier not in collection but paying off a revolving account. I want the - taken off my account and 60 day past due for -, -, - and -. I received a letter later on -/-/- that this was a settlement but they already had my check. I was not told at the time that this was a settlement and the account was in collection. I did not receive a - on this settlement. This false information is ruining my credit until this date. Had I knew this would be put in the credit bureau as collection and incorrect dates of 60 days past due, I would not have let them deposited the check. I written the credit bureau and talked to a vice president but nothing changed.
