Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay Maryland

Sometime - -, I secured a $1000.00 loan from Mariner Finance in - MD. In addition to the original loan, I also opted to pay for the supplemental insurance ( Unemployment ) should ( unfortunately ) this should occur. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I fell behind on 1 payment which prompted numerous and repeated phone calls to both my cell, home, and work. Each time-especially work, not to contact me here for phone calls are monitored by security. The company refused to adhere to my wishes and continued to repeatedly call my job which placed my employment in jeopardy. On - -, -, I lost my job due to downsize-at least that is what I was told. Shortly thereafter, I submitted a letter to the company alerting them to the change and asked for the necessary claim form. Instead of them providing the necessary claim form for payments, Mariner Finance instead chose to allow the loan to continue to accrual interest which the loan has now near $3000.00. Complaints were initially filed with the - and MD Dept of Labor Licensing and Regulation ( DLLR ) and had been removed from the Credit Reports. Upon a recent review of my

information reappear on the report, I have subsequently initiated another complaint with the - which does n't seem to be any resolution in sight. However, by virtue of their own admission, the loan should have been paid off in -. I somewhat tend to agree had they processed my claim form for which they did not. Now, after more than 2 years have passed, they are now requesting that I fill out the claim form for processing. Hence, my question : How can this be properly processed-if at all when the loss occurred in -? Moreover, it is my belief that Mariner Finance is attempting to correct a mistake that simply ca n't be undone and ( purposely ) continuing to access interest on a daily basis in an effort to collect more monies that are owed-if at all due to the supplemental insurance.
