I was alerted, through a credit monitoring service, that Chase Card had run a credit inquiry through - and -. I found that the inquiry was based on a fraudulent credit card application through Amazon.com. Whoever made the fraudulent application used my name, social security number, and home address. Chase refused to furnish a copy of the fraudulent application. Chase Card was negligent when they authorized a fraudulent credit card under my identify, without verifying the actual identity of the applicant.
