I have refinanced my Navient private student loan. The loan was paid/refinanced at the beginning of - 2016. There was an overpayment in the amount of $1600.00 which is to be refunded to -, the company through which the loan was refinanced. Navient has been contacted numerous times by - and myself requesting they return the overpaid funds. They still have not returned to funds to which they are NOT entitled to. This money must be refunded to - in order for them to make corrections to the balance on the refinanced loan. There is a limited amount of time for this money to be returned and processed as a refund which in turn will decreased the amount refinanced along with the payment. Navient has no claim to the overpaid amount and should return it immediately to -.
