JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit Card Complaint

Payoff process

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,

Payoff process New York

Is n't there a law that requires credit card companies to apply customer payments to the balance with the highest carried interest rate first? I have a Chase Visa that I 've realized has directed all my payments for at least 5 mos. to my 0 % promotional transfer balance, and left my purchase and expired promotional balances unpaid, which further increases the interest on these balances. I 'm almost certain the CFPB prohibits this practice, perhaps I 'm mistaken, would appreciate your input.
