JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit Card Complaint

Closing/Cancelling account

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,

Closing/Cancelling account Pennsylvania

I received a letter from Chase stating that my credit card was being canceled because continuing the relationship represented a possible reputational risk to Chase. Three phone calls were made with no explanation given. An e-mail was sent and we got a message saying that we would get a response in 10-12 days via US mail. When the letter came it referenced an article on a - web site as the basis for their decision. ( - ) This article references a - in - in 2006 and references someone with the same name as mine but actually has no relevance to me. I do n't live nor have I ever lived in -, I have no criminal record and I have no relationship to the people in this article. I am recently retired, an -, and a graduate of an - - University with no criminal record, not a - as they seem to imply.

business days and an additional three call from me before he called and said that " they '' had decided not to change their decision. It 's obvious that Chase made no effort to verify their information and is perfectly willing to smear my reputation and hurt my credit rating based on inaccurate/false information and shoddy research on their part. I have several questions : Did Chase cancel the credit cards of everyone with my name? If the report had the name - - in it would they have canceled the credit card of everyone with that name? Why did they decide to cancel the account after two years? Is it because I always pay on time and they never collect any interest? It 's shameful that they feel free to impugn my character and integrity in the name of maintaining their reputation and hurt my credit rating in the process.. How can someone with a good credit rating and no criminal record possibly hurt the reputation of a company like Chase.
