First Citizens Bank Account Or Service Complaint

Other bank product/service Using a debit or ATM card

First Citizens Bank account or service department,

Other bank product/service Using a debit or ATM card North Carolina

- has installed chip readers at its checkouts. If your credit card has a chip the device will not allow you to swipe the card. Once you insert the chip the device asks for your pin. There is no way to process the transaction as a credit card. You are forced to use your debit card. This deprives the consumer of the customary protections credit cards provide and unfairly enriches - by eliminating swipe fees.
