IRS contacted me about breech of 2015 tax document involving my SSN and said I could get a year of credit monitoring for this problem caused by their agency. I contacted Equifax for myself and have had no luck getting them to help. They say I have not proven that I am who I say. I submitted documents with my driver 's license and last year - form along with a cover letter. After 7 phone calls, I can not get past the " protocol '' of the phone answering people who are completely uninterested in the incident # or promo codes that I have been given by the IRS to deal with this matter. I find their company cumbersome and disorganized in their phone interactions and I had similar problems trying to do this online. I want an informed person who speaks decent English to contact me so I know that my sensitive material that I have given to their " phone answerers '' is not making an even bigger problem and that I have the help the IRS says they are to give.
