I implore you to look into the unfair business practices and illegal marketing practices Amazon uses to draw customers in and that CHASE derives benefits in throwing them into a high interest rate card. I was shopping for - gifts and as I went to check out, Amazon offered me a 0 % 12 month interest free promotional option, I clicked on it, answered a few questions and the proceeded to check out. Received a credit card a few weeks later that had AMAZON on the front, and Chase on the back. I did not think anything of it until I realized that I had been paying 19.49 % interest the entire time on the entire amount including what I purchased through the promotional offer. There was nothing in this entire process that led me to think I would be getting an interest rate at all ; and no way would I have applied for a 19.49 % interest rate. No one from CHASE can supply me with a screen shot of my application, there was no discussion of not getting the promotional offer and nothing to let me know of this bait and switch ( offering one interest rate but throwing you into another ) practice. Chase will not supply me with their record retention or consumer grievances policies as those are considered " proprietary ''. Chase said that Amazon has many cards and so when people think they are getting the promotional offer that is only if they get the " amazon shop card '' given the card they sent me says Amazon on the front of it, this is also a deceptive practice. No where in this short promotional opportunity process was there any discussion of this. amazon sucks you in, Chase benefits by throwing you into a high interest card. One Chase representative said that this was not the first he had heard of this problem.
