I leased a new vehicle which was financed through GM Financial. My first payment was due -/-/-. I attempted to set up electronic transfer from my bank to GM, but GM financial was not set up to accept this payment method. So I had my bank issue a paper check with guaranteed payment to GM by -/-/-. Payment was being sent from - - to - -. On -/-/-, and again on -/-/- I checked with GM to - my payment had still not posted. I was going to stop payment but GM told me if my payment would present they would have to charge me a return fee. They suggested I make another payment direct with them. So to avoid any late fees or dings on my credit or the possibility my payment was lost on -/-/- I made another payment.


The fact that it takes over 10 days for GM to process a payment is unacceptable. In addition a statement that reflects no posting dates is also unacceptable. Having been - for 43 years I know there are guidelines regarding these issues. I wrote to GM via a survey they sent me on -/-/- outlining these concerns. I did receive a prompt return message to contact them at -. I tried call this number several times. It rings once then there is dead air. Can you please look into the above issues. Thank you
