I had a - - credit card that I suspected was being used by a family member without my permission. I called - - and asked if they could put a block on the credit card and a password so that it could not be used for future charges. I also requested a password be put on the account and that the block not be removed by me without written consent by me. They agreed to do this for me. I paid the credit card off in full. A few months passed and I got a bill from - - for about $1700.00. There were many charges for gift cards made on the card. I called to report and told they would investigate. After many phone calls and other correspondence with - who is responsible for - - credit, I was told that only if I agreed to prosecute the person responsible for making the charges would I not be responsible for the charges. I did not want to prosecute or be involved in prosecution. I asked why the block was removed. I was told that I had


believe I would do such a thing. They refused to let me hear the recording of the conversation but the person I spoke with assured me that she had heard the recording and indeed it was my voice. Later, I decided to call my telephone company and see if I could get a list of all phone number made on the date I was suppose to have made that call. I have a list of those numbers and no such phone call was made. The people at - just lied to me. I did not make the call! Is there anything I can do at this point? People beware of this credit card company! I have documented proof of their unethical practices and lies!
