I recently applied for a CHASE SLATE card and was told that confirmation of my actual physical address was required for approval. I was reluctant to provide more than my mailing address as I work in - and have security concerns but after being assured this would be kept confidential and I would be approved once they had my address, I provided it. I then followed up and was told I was turned down because of my account balances vs my credit lines. I applied for the account as I wish to lower my balances by transferring them to a 0 % account and paying them off much faster! I feel as if I was declined simply to punish me for resisting giving my home address and complaining about it.
