I am in the - - - - - program. -/-/- I paid - dollars to my -/Navient private student loans. Prior to making the payment I asked the customer service agent 2 questions : 1 ) Will this be applied to my principal? 2 ) will this pay my account forward -2 years? The agent advised me " yes '' - would be true. Subsequently, over the past 2 months I have been charged a monthly bill. Last month I called Navient and spoke to a customer service agent who advised me that there was an error in their system and that this would be corrected by -/-/- and My account should be payed forward ~22 months. However, today I again noted that I have been charged a monthly bill for this loan. Today, the customer service agent and supervisor told me - new responses : - ) firstly, that because I was


- - Than later after being on the phone with them for about 40 minutes I was told that this type of loan can not be paid forward. I have advised the supervisor that I had SPECIFICALLY asked the original customer service agent this question prior to making the payment and had confirmation and was again advised last month that they had corrected the problem and that had been again advised that the loan was than to be paid forward - months. To which her response was essentially that they where not responsible for what the previous customer service agents had advised me but they would be disciplined if upon review they they where in error. This dose not really help me as the money I have budgeted to pay this loan monthly is now in their hands and they continue to request payment. This causes me financial hardship ( as I have many student loans and other debt ). The remedy I would like is that they apply the funds ( which I have already paid them ) forward 22 months as they originally have advised me was being done. - for the time being I have requested forbearance Supervisor I spoke with last was " - '' ID : -
