JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit Card Complaint

Other

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,

Texas

-/-/- I received a statement from my Chase Slate credit card with a $500.00 charge from Chase Home Lending. I did not authorize the fee be billed to my credit card and have been asking the customer service department at Chase Cardmember Service for proof that I authorized the charge be made to my credit card. As of the most recent correspondence from Chase Cardmember Service ( CCS ), dated - -, the company asserts that the charge is valid, but has failed to address the question regarding the unauthorized charge to my Chase Slate credit card. Here are the actions which have transpired thus far : 1. - -, - - Called CCS to dispute the fee.

3. - -, - - received correspondence from CCS with documentation from Chase Home Lending with documentation demonstration the fee was for a home appraisal taken of my home. 4. - -, -, - - - left a message with - - -, my assigned Customer Service Specialist regarding the charge. 5. - -, - - Faxed dispute form to CCS stating that I had not authorized the fee charged to my credit card, nor had I received an invoice or payment options from Chase Home Lending for the $500.00 fee. 6. - -, - - Left a voice message on - - 's work asking him to confirm receipt of the fax. 7. - -, - - received a letter from - - at CCS asking us to take the matter up directly with Chase Home Lending as the charge would remain on our credit card. 8. - -, - - Faxed an - page document with the history of this dispute to the attention of - - asking once again for documentation authorizing the charge to my Chase Slate credit card. For the record Chase Home Lending did not send us an invoice for the appraisal fee, nor notified us that the fee would be charged to one of our Chase credit cards. Contrary, - - - -, our lender at Chase Home Lending, informed me there would be no charge for the appraisal fee since I had paid for an appraisal fee in my previous attempt to re-finance my home with Chase. Furthermore, the Chase credit card that was charged has been inactive since -/-/-, set aside strictly for emergencies. The last credit card mailed to me is still attached to its original paperwork, having never been activated. I received the statement in -/-/- and have been disputing it every since. The account, which had a - balance has now accumulated $82.00 in late fees.
