Synchrony Financial Credit card department,

Synchrony Bank ( working for - ) is not giving appropriate time to receive my billing statements & for me to return payment before they are charging $40.00 late fees. Synchrony Bank customer service & their supervisor say that they are only required to mail my bill 20 days before the due date, but it is taking 10 days for me to receive the statement. Then, I mail the statement back with payment with 2 days of receiving it ( which is not always feasible if I am traveling or it falls on a weekend ), and then they are taking up to 10 DAYS TO PROCESS THE PAYMENT!! They seem to deliberately be delaying the process, and then THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD AT ALL before they charge a $40.00 late fee on a $200.00 payment/installment. They have charged me $120.00 in fees in the last year and a half, and I have made every attempt to send my statement back within a couple days of receiving the bill. Customer service was no help at all and said they are n't even required to send me a statement?? I think they are intentionally dragging their feet on processing payments to charge huge late fees!!
