TransUnion Credit Reporting Complaint

Incorrect information on credit report account status

TransUnion Credit reporting department,

Incorrect information on credit report Account status Maryland

I contacted Transunion to clear up a record regarding a settled debt, and received a message saying it would have to be " manually processed. '' I did not hear from them after two months. Here is the background settled a debt with - - - - -. At the time of settlement they created a new account number for the debt, stating in their letter that it was for internal purposes only. After settling the debt it still shows up on my credit report as " charged off '' rather than " settled. '' In my understanding this single debt ( regardless of if it is tracked under - account numbers ) must be listed as " settled '' or " legally paid in full for less than the full amount '' to be fully FCRA compliant.
