Citibank has become a corporate bully against the everyday consumer who makes their very best efforts to pay their bills. Although I had been a long-standing Citibank customer, my credit card account was prematurely closed without warning. Additionally, although I have and continue to make robust efforts to pay off the balance, Citibank 's exorbitant fees makes it nearly impossible to ever get this balance paid off, and it is discouraging, at the least. Most of my hard-earned payment is going to interest and not the principle and Citibank is making no efforts to change that. For example, last month 's payment of - yielded only a small percentage to the principle, and almost - went to interest. That is unacceptable, and is completely taking advantage of the hard-working consumer. I feel financially -, bullied, and exploited as a consumer. Additionally, it is demotivating to the consumer and increases the likelihood for consumer 's to give up and not pay anything at all. A Citibank program in which I was enrolled, was so stringent that it was designed for the consumer to fail. Although I explained to Citibank that I am a teacher, and transitioning from the summers into the


the consumer 's payment going to interest. Thus, it essentially becomes an interest only payment. This is very discouraging to the consumer, and Citibank, being - of the largest corporations in - -, has the resources to do better and be more consumer friendly, but they choose not to do so. I have reached out to Citibank to come up with an amiable solution, but appears that Citibank is only interested in profits and stomping on, bullying, and exploiting the consumer. It is truly a - and - metaphor. I hope the government will take a closer look at Citibank and its practices. I hope it does not take numerous complaints from consumers that eventually results in a class-action lawsuit to open Citibank 's eyes to the errors of their ways.
