We have had this auto loan with Chase Auto Finance since - and have always made our monthly payments. In - of 2015 our financial situation changed and we needed to sell the vehicle. We listed the vehicle on - and found a buyer for the vehicle. The buyers wanted to wire the funds directly to Chase as the buyer was in another state. I contacted Chase for the official payoff amount ( which is what the buyer paid ) and to get the wire transfer information from them. I was notified by the buyer when the funds were delivered and then I called Chase to see if the loan was satisfied and the funds posted. It took a few business days for Chase to be able to tell me the loan was satisfied. When I was told by Chase the loan was satisfied and the vehicle was delivered with a bill of sale. I was then sent in the mail a lien release signed by Chase and notarized receiving it the next week along with a check for the overpayment. I did not hear anything from Chase until they called me three weeks later to tell me my last


reversed from the account so I am now responsible. They would not at first give me the information listed on the " check '' they say they received for the payment, but they finally did after arguing with the customer service person. Of course the buyer a dealer is not answering the phone. But why did Chase state the loan was satisfied before it was and if it was official, why did they allow the reversal of the payment? I feel and many others I have talked to feel that this is their responsibility. They release the lien and have not provided me with any written notice of anything different to date.
