Even though I have been making frequent on time payments, American Express has significantly lower my credit score over - points. I did not know that I had a charge card and had to pay off the entire amount every month. I never knew or had that understood to me. I made consistent payments but they considerably damaged my credit score. I think this practice is deceptive.
