Incorrect information on credit report Information is not mine Virginia

I have called and spoken to approximately - people at - to dispute an account from them that is listed on my credit report through them. It states that I closed the account and it went to collections, and that I still owe $270.00. I have never closed my account with them, the account number listed is not even an account number that they have. They have confirmed orally to me that I do not owe them any money, and have an active open account. They will not remove it because they tell me that they did not report it. It clearly shows that - reported it though.
