I recently discovered an unauthorized hard inquiry on my credit report from - ( - - ) which upon further review the entity for PayPal. Upon calling customer service I was told that " when setting up my account I must have selected that I wanted PayPal credit which automatically sent an application for the line of credit ''. I never once intentionally opted to apply for this line of credit and it is obvious that it was done in a deceptive manner when making purchases. I have been using PayPal for approximately ten years and never set up my account to use PayPal credit. Consequently my credit score has dropped nearly - points from - and -.
