Amex Credit Card Complaint

Balance transfer

Amex Credit card department,

Balance transfer Nevada

I was offered a 0 % introductory balance transfer by American Express on their " Blue Cash Everyday '' The offer was to expire - - 2016. Speaking with a representative on this day, -/-/2016, I was informed the offer is still available and I would be able to do a balance transfer from my - card to the new Amex card in the amount of $7800.00. Today, - -, 2016, I received a letter from Amex ( dated -/-/2016 ) stating the offer was declined because the limit to transfer may not exceed $7500.00. When I called Amex today - - 2016, I questioned " their '' error hoping to discuss with a higher authority. However, I kept getting transferred to noone of authority after multiple request to speak with Management that can discuss and solve the issue at hand. I also requested a number other than a - number I could call. No such luck. Between - and - - -, 2016 my paitience had run out. Clearly my call was not going to get transferred to the correct level of Management to resolve the issue. After being transferred 5 times, my last words to an Amex rep

do not put me on hold '' ... .you guest it, I was placed on hold! My aim is to have them accept the mistake by their employee of quoting the price of $7800.00 and have them honor the original balance transfer offer that I was presented with even if it is to be the $7500.00 limit that they are claiming. But my point is " their '' employee has made the mistake, not the consumer! Thank you for your time and patience in reading my complaint and for your dedication to public service.
