Incorrect information on credit report Account status Missouri

I disputed an Item from the City of - utility bill which states after the investigation that it is still vailid an has a date of -/-/- which I vacted this property in -/-/- and it was sold in -/-/- yet 3 years later they say this bill was delinquent. I am sure I paid this bill but can not find my reciept but it is definitely older than 7 years old and I feel this is because of my - name that - is refusing to release this debt. this is why Im making a complaint.
