I spoke to an account representative about an interest rate reduction. They offered me 16.24 % APR which I specifically asked if it was the best rate they had. They said yes. I manage my finances online using a number of bank aggregators who actively look for the best deals in banking, credit cards and loans. The advertised rate was significantly lower than the one I was given ( 10.99 % ). When I called to try and resolve this issue with them, they were dismissive and were not even open to the idea that mistakes can happen on their end. My credit has been above - for the better part of a year, no significant debts or credit inquiries. If I do not qualify for prime I 'm not sure who would.
