ProCollect, Inc Debt collection department,

Medical Disclosure verification of debt Not given enough info to verify debt Texas

Attached is a copy of a collection letter from ProCollect addressed to my deceased wife, - -, who died on -/-/-. Approximately 2 years ago, ProCollect started contacting my wife by phone/mail regarding this debt. At that time I contacted ProCollect by phone regarding the alleged debt and was told that it was for an emergency room doctor who treated her at - - - prior to -/-/-. ( I do n't recall the exact year, but it was prior to -/-/-. ) This was the first contact that I can recall that was ever received regarding this debt. I verbally explained to ProCollect that it appeared that the Texas statute of limitations ( 4 years ) had expired on the debt and that I could not verify the fact that my wife owed the debt. I disputed the debt in writing and asked for verification, but received no reply. ProCollect has phoned many times ( not less than - times ) and has sent many letters ( not less than - ) to my deceased wife regarding this debt. The actions by ProCollect are a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Act.
