Medical Disclosure verification of debt Not disclosed as an attempt to collect New Hampshire

I contact the collection agency to resolve an unpaid collection account that was on my credit bureau. I was told that the account would be shown as paid in full and i would have a letter faxed that would confirm the paid in full status along with removal from my credit bureau. I was instructed to send in a letter authorizing them to release this information via fax which i did. After days of not receiving the letter i called back to get the letter sent, and i was informed by the representative i will not be getting that letter.
