Incorrect information on credit report Public record California

I gave a months notice and I moved out of a house. The room mates stayed and did not pay rent and received a judgement against them and my name was attached to it even though I moved out. It has killed my credit and would like my name taken off the judgement and restore my credit above what it is now. I have a letter from the attorney for the homeownerto take me off the judgement.
