I co-signed on an account with DriveTime Automotive Group , Inc/ DT Acceptance Corp . The buyer of the vehicle has failed to make on-time payments including failure to pay in full. At this present moment he has not made any payments in the last two months. As a result I have been harassed by DT Acceptance Corp in regards to the account because they ca n't get in contact with the buyer! I was contacted by an outside source ( someone who does n't work for Drive Time/DT Acceptance Corp ) in regards to my account with them via -. This individual is the girlfriend of one of the collections manager at DT Acceptance Corp with whom I have spoken with breifly in regards to some paperwork for my account. I have contacted the Corporate Office in regards to this matter. They refuse to discuss how it 's being handled or if it 's been handled because they do n't want to compromise the privacy of their employee. However, I believe my privacy has been compromised. How did she get my information? Why is my information being shared with people who do n't work with DT Credit Corp? I have asked them to stop calling me on several occasions they have continued to do so until I requested again to be contacted by mail only. Due the request for them to stop calling me on my cell phone and at work, they have proceeded to contact references on my account. One of the individuals contacted, I do n't even believe is on my application as a reference. One of the references listed did request that they stop contacting her and they have continued to contact her. Despite the current status of my account, I do not feel that I am deserving of this type of harassment or stress and neither or my friends and family. Furthermore, due to their carelessness as a business in regards to my personal information, I am in fear that my information has been leaked and/or will be leaked in some malicious manner.
