A letter for debt collection was sent to me from the Hameroff law offices dated -/-/-. In response, I mailed a letter ( certified ), dated -/-/-, in which I requested not to be contacted about this debt any further. The statute of limitations for legal action on this account has passed. I have not made any payments on this debt since at least -/-/-. In this letter, I stated : Let this letter serve as notification that I do not wish to be contacted about this debt any further except to be notified that future collection efforts are terminated. Any other communication regarding this debt will be taken as a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I received another collections letter from them dated -/-/-. Nowhere on this notice does it say anything their confirmation of my request.
