I received a threatening letter from a Van Ru Credit Corporation about a $20.00 balance towards - - - -. We have no debt with this company as far as I can tell with research, and have no outstanding balances with any of our medical practitioners. Normally, - - will send us a paper bill within 30 days of any appointment, but we have not had a - ( local hospital group - related appointment for nearly a year now. Additionally, when they send us a bill, it is always on the exact same form. This is a company I have never heard of, and in highly questionable font and format. Because we take extraordinary care to monitor our credit score, seeing this - confused and upset me. I do n't recall having even a 'first ' notice on any $20.00 debt to - - - much less ignoring something long enough to require debt collection. Also ... $20.00? What an odd amount.
