I applied for pre approval to take out a loan with - -. My bank sent me a note after they had pushed the application through that said my credit score was too low for pre approval because - had passed on a delinquent account, under my name, to a third party debt collection agency. However, I have never nor will I ever have an account with -. In effect, - linked my name and address with a delinquent account held by another individual under the same name at a different address. - had no other information to associate with my name and admitted, on the phone, that the account had been charged in error. They then refused to assist further and suggested I go through the steps necessary to correct their error.
