Hi, I originally spoke with a manager - - at AD Astra Recovery Services and made an arrangement to pay off my debt ( - ) in exchange for them removing the debt. So I paid off the debt $310.00, but they are refusing to remove them from credit reports. When I paid the debt I sent a letter ( below ) with a cashier check and in the memo line of the check I wrote ( CASH ATTACHED CHECK ONLY IF YOU WILL DELETE ACCOUNT FROM ALL CREDIT REPORTS ). They cashed the cashier check on -/-/15. But again they will not remove it, they say I did n't pay it in time. ( This is a copy of the letter I sent Ad Astra Recovery Services minus my name, account number and address ) -AD ASTRA Recovery Services- - - - - - . -, KS -Ac - To whom it may concern, ( CASH ATTACHED CHECK ONLY IF YOU WILL DELETE ACCOUNT FROM ALL CREDIT REPORTS ) To whom it may concern, As per my conversation with your customer service representative, I am following through with my pledge to settle this debt in exchange for its removal from my credit report. Henceforth, I am attaching a check for $ -to pay off the referenced account under the condition that the account will be removed in entirety from all the credit bureaus your company has reported this account to. If the implied conditions to delete or not verify are not acceptable to you, please kindly return my check. In the event that you cash this check and not remove the collection from my credit report, I will proceed to take this matter to the Attorney General 's office and proceed with filing suit. Truly, -
