I used my Chase card to hire a moving company for moving back to - from -. I was charged - which was very high because of the antiques and one of a kind pieces of furniture I owned. The movers committed fraud! Breaking and trying to hide most damage from my son -. I was n't going to be back - for several months to see the full extent of my damages to my furniture and also to my sons home. Which was completely rebuilt after storm -. The movers were n't to put the charge through until the move was completed. On the day of the move I was informed of many items damaged. The credit card dispute associate I spoke to assured me time was n't a issue as they understood I was n't going to be back - for several months. They asked for itemized list of damages which I complied to the best of my abilities as many items were n't unpacked yet. I was told by Chase rep. To just concentrate on the price of my antique bedroom set as that was over -. Value and all I could do was have card charges


extreme negligence from moving company. I thought it a bit unusal she would basically tell me I was going to be very Happy with the outcome , yet kept asking me for more details. I was hospitalized in - and then she wanted a appraisal done for just the bedroom set. I wrote back ASAP explaining I was in ill health and needed a couple of weeks to NOW HIRE A APPRAISER. The next week she wrote me back they asked the movers to work with them and they said no and I 'm fully responsible for the cost of the move!!! Even though the company Lied, Committed fraud, hired outside company. The credit card company completely does n't want to be out the money so they are now forcing me to pay or destroy my credit!!! With all my husbands medical bills we always kept paying our bills. Now this moving company who destroyed basically everything I own to some degree they want me to pay!!! I called their corporate office and was to.d to make payments on the card or my credit will be ruined! I to.d the woman if I had paid by check there would have been a stop payment done immediately! Also I never signed my furniture was delivered intact. The other moving company they hired, plus my son also had to hire men to unload the truck a - - only set One man!!! Please there has to be something that can be done I have all pictures before and after, witnesses etc. I believe this stress has caused a great deal of my medical issues as it has been going on since -/-/-! I feel I am being pushed into a corner to pay a company that is on the ( Rip off report ) for doing the same thing destroying a recent widows furniture and then acting threatening to her when she complained. I was told by Chase 's dispute person I did n't need to file a civil suit if I would be ok with there favoring outcome. I said I was as I had several years of extreme stress and did n't want to sue now
