I had some electrical work done on my property. The man that gave me the quote over the phone stated it would be $ - $400.00 depending on how much the permit was. I gave him the go ahead to do the work. The work was completed. About 6 months later I get a call about owing $620.00. I tried calling the owner ( man who quoted me ) and his answering service said that he was out of state on a job and he would have to call me back. Never heard back from him after at least - calls to his office. I then get a letter from a collections company in regards to this debt. I asked for proof of debt. I received a invoice for $620.00 from the company and that was it. How can a company just make up prices and then put it on someone credit report?
