I recently checked my credit report and saw a negative entry from Franklin Collections in the amount of $300.00. I have never been informed of any outstanding debt by any companies and was never contacted by phone or mail by this collection agency. I contacted Franklin Collections on - -, 2015 by email to inquire about this supposed debt. After providing - - - my social she responded back with saying I have a case number ( - ) and that it shows a debt of $300.00 for - - - -. I have never in my life had an account with - - - or used - service. As a matter of fact, - service is not even available in my area! They did not provide me with the name on the account but when I proceeded to contact - - -, they said they could not provide me with any names or phone numbers associated with the account and that to handle this I would need to file a dispute with the credit agency. I have requested multiple times to - - to offer me information on opening a dispute but get no reply. She was quick to offer me informations out the amount owed but now I am being ignored and have this negative entry on my credit that does not belong to me.
