I would like to file a complaint against American Express Credit Card. I used them to make a purchase with floorstoyourhome.com, in the amount of $1800.00. American Express does n't stand behind their customers. We installed the flooring, but it buckles up. The retailer sent out his inspector who said the reason, because the subfloor is not even. When their inspector was here he never removed the floor to check out the subfloor. Did n't remove any moldings and came back with a false report. I hired - independent contractors to do inspection. Both said the problem is not the subfloor. It is the merchandise, because the locking mechanism is defected. Finally I could talk to a customer service representative at - - ( the manufacturer of the wood floor ) who said the reason we are having a problem, because the underlayment what the retailer sold us is not compatible with the floor. - - even e-mailed me out the installation requirements, what they provide to all retailers. I forwarded that document along with the purchase receipt to Amex, which shows that floorstoyourhome.com sold me the wrong underlayment. I sent all the documents to American Express and they denied the dispute. They told us they are not even going to look at the proofs, pictures and documentations from our side. They are only talking to the retailer. The retailer only provided his inspector 's report and American Express accepted it as is. They did n't honor the other - professionals inspection reports, the pictures and the manufacturer 's letter with the installation requirement. This is not fair that I have to pay for defected merchandise with the wrong underlayment. Also this cost me more since the floor had to be installed, I had to pay for the inspectors, we need to pick up the floor and underlayment and reinstall everything with the right underlayment. I did n't even counted the precious time I had to spend to arrange everything, communicate with Amex, all the letters, pictures, phone calls. Please look into this very serious and delicate matter!
