I have been a credit card holder at Chase since 2006 under the Chase Freedom card. Upon review of my account, I called to inquire to see if I could change my card to a - card, so I could benefit from the travel rewards that are gained through purchases. I went online and saw that they were offering - points for the first $4000.00 purchased in the first - months, as well as various other features. During my phone call the woman who assisted me told me that she could change my account to the - without an issue. I asked numerous times ( the call was recorded ) that as soon as I receive my card that after I make a $4000.00 purchase that the - points would be applied to my account. She said yes. I confirmed a few more times, and she said yes. She also stated that she would keep my existing 9.24 % APR, and wave the $95.00 fee for the first year, which was another feature advertised on the website. I received my card yesterday, called to verify it was up and running and that I could make the $4000.00 purchase to gain


that the $95.00 fee was going to be waved, as well as keeping my 9.24 % rate, but the - points would not be given after my purchase of $4000.00. The supervisor told me that was only for new customers, I explained that my conversion, on a recorded line apparently contained incorrect information. The supervisor said that they would pull the call and 'reprimand ' the customer service individual who provided me with the wrong information. None of which solves my issue. I explained I was a customer since 2006 and if this was not honored I would be closing my account. They did not seem phased.
