Chase Freedom credit card advertised 5 % cash back rewards for restaurant purchases made from -/-/2015 through -/-/2015. They did not honor the 5 % cash back rewards for several restaurants including - - in -, -, and - in -, -. These establishments are solely restaurants and do not sell anything else so there is absolutely no reason that they could be called anything other than a restaurant. When I saw on my statement that I was not given the 5 % cash back rewards I asked them to honor their promotion as advertised, and they denied my request claiming they categorize these restaurants as 'grocery stores ' or 'convenient stores. ' This is clearly false advertising and tricking the consumer to use their credit card with the promise of receiving rewards, which are then not given.
