I have a - credit card with Capital One and it includes a 1.5 % cash back on all purchases. Yesterday ( -/-/15 ) I saw a Capital One ad on TV stating that - cards pay 2.0 % cash back. I called CapOne today and they said my card is stuck at 1.5 % and only new applicants for Spark cards get the higher rate. They refused to raise my cash back rate. The ad did not specify new applicants '' ; it mere said - cards deliver 2.0 % cash back. That is blatant false advertising.
