JPMorgan Chase Credit Card Complaint

Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement

JPMorgan Chase Credit card department,

Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Arizona

On or about -/-/-, I called the Chase Fraud Department for an update of my pending fraud case involving my Chase Freedom credit card account. The Chase officer had declared telephonically that all - charges were determined as Unauthorized and/or Fraudulent, and that these charges were going to be credited back to my account. Moreover, and a check for over payment from Chase would be mailed. The Chase officer stated all charges identified as - '' ( - ) dating back to -/-/- were determined to be unauthorized charges by -. I was then instructed to discontinue sending monthly payments to Chase. A week later, I received a Chase check for $840.00 for over payment on a balance riddled with fraud by -. I was delighted the case was finally settled after 5 months. In addition, I received a Chase statement clearly indicating the credits and payments no longer due. However, an unexpected call from a unidentified Chase financial officer about a week later was received about -. My husband and I listened in

I see no fraud '', and proclaimed all previously dismissed - charges in question are now resurrected, and that I have to pay the balance. When I told the Chase financial officer the case was settled a week ago, and that I a check from Chase for $840.00 has been proffered, the officer seemed stunned and at a loss for words ; asking who, what, and when? Moments later, she alluded that the settlement by the other Chase official did not matter, whereby, declaring my settlement null and void. In that, I will be receiving a revised Chase bill resurrecting all previously determined unauthorized charges. I retained as evidence my Chase statement showing fraud charges had all been credited back to me and payments to Chase no longer required. To my disbelief, the Chase financial officer had simply, in matters of a few minutes, usurped a competent Chase official who credited my account and settled the case after five ( 5 ) months of investigation. Presently, I am saddled with debt that had already been identified as fraud and had been forgiven. I respectfully request that the CFPB intervenes and upholds my settlement regarding my fraud case involving -. The evidence shall show the Chase financial official in question, had unnecessarily intervened striking down my settlement, and clearly demonstrating a questionable business practice that would be appalling by most or all consumers, as it clearly opposes negotiating in Good Faith and applicable laws protecting consumers from frivolous and outlandish business practices motivated by self-serving needs based upon a whim.
