Add this scammer to the pile of bottom-feeding fraudsters I 've filed complaints on over the past two years - each one a downstream player in the - - - Scam. They are harassing me regarding a debt that never existed, and they are committing myriad FDCPA, UDAAP and TCPA violations in the process. A robocall was placed to my cell number, which has been listed on the National Do Not Call Registry since - 2013. The caller ID indicates - number, while the message instructs me to return the call at a different number. There are - of reports listed on consumer complaint websites indicating both numbers are tied to - or Empire Mediation Services. The message does not give the identity of the caller or the company they represent. It does NOT tell me the caller was attempting to collect a debt. The message DOES tell me I have only 48 hours to respond to the call. It uses words like case '' and retain '' - words that most consumers associate with legal matters. The message is cleverly worded to give the impression that there is impending legal action against me.
