My identity was mistaken by a debt collector named Debt Recovery Solutions , LLC ( DRS '' ) of -, -, - -. DRS claimed I owed a debt for medical services that in fact were not related to me and that I did not incur. I disputed their claim in writing and requested that they provide supporting documentation verifying the accuracy of the debt collection. Subsequently, the supporting documentation they provided reflected information of an individual with a similar name as mine, but with a different date of birth and an address at which I have never resided. Thus confirming that DRS 's attempt to collect this debt from me is erroneous and baseless. Nevertheless, DRS has negatively impacted my credit report, by recklessly reporting this debt collection to my credit report. I have disputed this debt collection and erroneous credit reporting to both - and DRS and have provided DRS with documentation that contradicts and disproves their claim of my obligation to this debt.
