I had a Garnishment Hearing Decision on - -, 2015, from the Department of Education, for my Student Loan Debt..They decided that I owed $24000.00 for the outstanding principal and $13000.00 in accrued interest. The Dept. said to call them to make reasonable and affordable payment arrangements. ( see attached documentation ) When I called the Dept. of Ed today, they referred me to a collection agency FMS Investment Corporation ''. I called FMS and a man told me that I owe them $47000.00 ''. I pressed this man to answer where the extra $10000.00 in debt came from, since the Dept. says I only owe $37000.00. The man said it was in penalty and collection fees. I told him I would get back to him after talking to Senator - office, because something did n't sound right. - - in the Senator 's office referred me to you.
