In the middle of - - I found out about identity theft on my credit report while going through a car loan process with my bank. I have been working closely with - and have filed a report with the FTC, the Police Department, as well as with every incorrect debit collector on my credit report. The person who stole my identity had access to my personal information including but not limited to my drivers license, signature, addresses, and social security number. It has all been documented and all credit reporting bureaus reported that they had used both my name as well as a Also Known As '' which has since been happening since the -/-/- 's. Some names and accounts been removed from my report since starting to fight this almost a month ago. While a few creditors have already given me notice that they 've removed their information from my reports some


and return receipt letter requesting validation of debit not - but -. - times these letters have been refused. The - letter was sent - - - and the other was sent - - -. On or around - -, - I placed a follow up call to inform them that returning mail did not absolve their responsibility to verify the debt they are trying to collect on. The original debit belongs to - - -. I have n't been a member of that banking institution since -/-/- and as I was concerned there was - money owed to them. To help speed this process along I asked if I could just pay the $49.00 dollar charge that is appearing on my credit reports and have them delete the account since they 1. have not validated the debit and 2. were refusing my mail. The woman who was representing The Best Service Company told me that my debit was not $49.00 dollars but near the area of $80.00 and that I would have to pay that amount to have it removed from my reports. While I do not feel that this debit has in any way been validated I want this deleted from my account as soon as possible due to the Identity Theft that has shattered my credit and left me in ruins. I need to do all I can to repair it. I informed her that I would pay them the amount she told me but I needed to have her email, fax, or mail me in writing what we had just discussed and agreed upon. That they would delete all delinquent information from the trade lines on all three credit bureaus ( -, -, and - ) after payment and in a reasonable time frame. She actually laughed at me and said No, I wo n't send you a thing. Just pay the amount ''. I told her that I have no guarantee that she would honor what we spoke about and that I needed to have it in writing in order to make the payment. Her response to me was I guess that 's a chance you 'll have to take. We will delete it sometime ''. This was followed up with you 're the one who wants it off your credit so just pay ''. I informed her that a simple write up and fax would settle this and she refused and again insisted that I just give her my card number. After I told her once again that I needed something in writing I was hung up on. This severely unprofessional phone call prompted me to file a complaint so that I can get this sorted out as fast as possible.
