Someone used my debit card number, not the actual card to rent a car and said they had my permission which they did not. I do not know the person. I filed a dispute with JP Morgan Chase which they applied a temporary credit for - there were multiple charges ) they later reversed some of the credits. the total was over $10000.00. They told me - had sent them paper work with someone elses name and my debit card number ( not through a POS ) and this constituted proof that I gave the unknown individual permission.
