Other (phone, health club, etc.) Disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received
Louisiana Bureau of Credit Control Inc. Debt collection department,
Other (phone, health club, etc.) Disclosure verification of debt Right to dispute notice not received Louisiana
This debt is in reference to a portion of rent that a former landlord says I owe when I provided the correct move-out notice and the landlord also breached my contract by entering apartment without notification ( expressly forbidden by the lease agreement ) on multiple occasions, thereby violating my privacy. I am contesting the actions of the collection agency, Louisiana Bureau of Credit Control located at - - -, - LA - lbccinc.com -The collection company informed the - credit agencies - -, -, & - - on - - of a delinquent debt. However, I was not sent a letter until - -. On - -, 2015 I sent a certified letter ( USPS - - - - - ) disputing the debt. The collection agency is required by law to notify the - credit bureaus of this dispute. They did not. I visited their office on -/-/- and was informed by the manager that they passed the dispute on the credit agencies. On -/-/2015 I called all - credit bureaus and none of them have any data indicating that Louisiana Bureau of Credit Collections ever notified them of my dispute. This violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act on the grounds that 1 ) they did not validate the debt and filed it with the - credit agencies - months before sending me a collections letter, and 2 ) they did not forward my dispute on the credit agencies as required by law.
