Other (phone, health club, etc.) Disclosure verification of debt Right to dispute notice not received Indiana

Reliant Capitol Solutions contacted me today on -/-/2015. I missed - calls from them. After I had seen the missed calls I called the number back. I stated I missed a call from this number. The lady on the phone asked me if I was - - I said yes and was transferred. This is where the whole situation got out of hand. The guy I was transferred to was very forceful at trying to obtain my information. Before I said yes to anything I asked who the company was he stated the company name very fast and continued to try and get my personal information. After a few minutes of me standing my ground and asking what the company name was and what the call was about and not giving my information he finally, rudely, told me. That 's when the call became pretty heated. He continued to be rude and cut me off as I was talking. He kept asking if I could pay the debt I stated I could not right now and he went on to say he was going to mark my account as refusal to pay I told him I wanted to speak with

since this was the - time I had heard about the debt. At that point I feel like she went on the offensive. She acted like she did n't want me to call them and said we needed to reach an agreement before I hung up. I refused and insisted on calling - to verify. At that point she said that I HAD to call back today or tomorrow and was very insistent on that. I called -, verified my information.I also asked if I could make payments to them instead of the debt collector. She said I could and that they would report my payments to Reliant. I proceeded to call Reliant back. I asked to be directed to a supervisor and the call continued. I spoke with a supervisor named -. I told her about the prev. calls she said it would be looked into and went on to continue to try and collect the debt. I told her that - stated I could make my payments to them and they would report my payment to Reliant. She said I could not do this and my payments must be made to them. I wanted to take time to figure things out but I kept getting told that if we did n't reach an agreement right now that it would be a refusal to pay. We came to an agreement of $58.00 a month and I would try to payoff the balance in full as quickly as I could. So in summary I feel like I was bullied and pressured into paying this company. They were not professional at all. The whole call was handled very badly I believe. Kinda felt like I was tricked into paying them. I have no problem paying this debt off. Had I known about it before I would have taken care of it but between the time I stopped going to the school and now I had moved a - times and had my number changed. So this was my - time hearing about it. They stated they had called multiple times before and have left voice-mails. I do not recall any of this and to my knowledge I have never received any calls or voice-mails from them. I feel like I should have had time to go over my finances and figure out exactly what I could pay - month but as stated before I was getting told if I did n't reach an agreement with them right then it would be a refusal to pay. And from what I have heard from other debt collectors, a refusal to pay means the next step would be them suing me. At this point I feel like I have been coerced into paying them. I have dealt with debt collectors before and all have been helpful and willing to work with me and given me time to figure things out. Never have I been threatened with refusal to pay or treated this badly.
